FLAX is a family-owned art supply store founded in San Francisco in 1938. I build their emails — flows, voice, templates, and regular(ish) sends. Here are some of my favorites:
Valentine's Day send built around love as a curatorial premise. Used the store mascot, Manny, as the conceptual hook.
Editorial concept connecting a celebrity sighting on HBO's Hacks to a product we carry. Confirmed with archival sourcing. This one got replies. :)
New Year's Day send on the many ways to create, anchored by works from Heather Day, Morandi, and Twombly.
Event email for an SF Design Week art swap hosted at the store.
